by Alisha Anderson

In the weeks and months following a devastating wildfire, artist Alisha Anderson bears witness to a stand of scorched evergreen trees in the forests of Oregon within the ancestral lands of the Cowlitz people.

Alisha Anderson was born in northern California. She received an MS in Environmental Humanities from the University of Utah, where she was awarded The Floyd O’Neil Fellowship in Western American Studies. Her work focuses on ritual and story, and speaks to our relationship to the land, most often through landscapes across Utah.
