In partnership with Point Reyes Books, we invite you to join us for a live, virtual conversation between celebrated author David G. Haskell and Emergence Executive Editor Emmanuel Vaughan-Lee. The two will discuss Haskell’s newly published book, Sounds Wild and Broken: Sonic Marvels, Evolution’s Creativity, and the Crisis of Sensory Extinction. This book is a lyrical exploration of the diverse sounds of our planet, the creative processes that produced these marvels, and the perils that sonic diversity now faces.
